Forever Faithful Campaign

For I have said, “Lovingkindness will be built up forever; In the heavens You will establish Your faithfulness.” - Psalms 89:2

Projects

  • Steeple Replacement

When Fuquay-Varina Baptist Church relocated from the corner of Main and Academy in the 1970s. The concern was not having a church on the main street, would people be able to find the church? The church decided to build a very tall steeple so that it could be seen from all directions. For more than fifty years that steeple has stood above FVBC! The steeple is not set directly on the roof but instead sits on a membrane that allows water to run off from the building. The current membrane only had a warranty for 25 years but has lasted over 50! The steeple replacement project will remove the current steeple, replace the membrane, and refurbish the steeple at the original manufacturer in Campbellsville, Kentucky. The refurbished steeple will be brough back and attached to the church building marking the way for many years to come. The cost of the project is $300,000.00 and will take about 8 months to finish.

  • Floor Repairs

Imagine walking into the church one Sunday morning and finding the preschool hallway under one inch of water. In October of 2022 this is exactly what happened. A clogged pipe flooded the entire preschool hallway. This led to the relocation of the church’s WEECare Ministry and a complete tear out of cabinets and floors. The total cost of the repairs was north of $250,000.00. Insurance covered much of the cost but has left a short fall of about $40,000.00. This project is complete, but the balance must be raised.

  • Sanctuary Repairs

Currently, Fuquay-Varina Baptist Church is holding its worship services in the fellowship hall. The reason for this is major sheet rock failure/damage in the worship center. For years FVBC has worshipped in the sanctuary with only a few interruptions (renovations, Covid, etc.). But with a large part of the sheetrock ceiling now lying on the floor it will take a while to get back into the worship center. The estimated cost to repair the ceiling is $104,000. The estimated time frame 90-120 days.

  • Columns/Exterior Repairs

Through the years the columns of FVBC have helped greet members and guests. Time, and weather and settling have taken a toll on the columns and the circular driveway in front of the church. This project will replace the columns with fiberglass columns of similar size that should last many years. This project will also replace the broken pavement and repave it so there is no puddling of water. This will help give the front of the building a warm and welcoming appearance. The cost of this project is estimated to be $100,000.00. Time frame is 90 days after order is placed.

  • A/V Equipment Update/Repairs

“What is that you said”? If you have sat in the worship center over the past few years you probably said something like this! The Sanctuary, while being very beautiful to the eyes, is difficult to please the ears! We have received quotes for state-of-the-art sound and video equipment to help the message of the Gospel to be heard and seen more clearly. This project also includes some updating of the sound and video equipment in the fellowship hall. The total cost of both projects is estimated to be just north of $250,000.00. Time frame is 30 days after equipment is ordered. Supply chain delays can be expected on this equipment.

  • Welcome Center Enhancements

Wednesday evening Bible studies are always a blessing! It is in these studies that we can go a little deeper into the Scriptures after enjoying a fellowship meal in the fellowship hall. Unfortunately, the Fellowship Hall is not the most conducive place to host a Bible study on Wednesday evening. With cleaning up and with people still eating it can be distracting. Building a retractable store front look and a retractable side wall to the welcome center would still allow us to have an open place for our guests on Sunday morning, and a classroom for discipleship on Wednesday evening. The estimated cost of this project is $60,000.00. Time frame is 90 days once the product is ordered.

  • HVAC Units and Controller

The HVAC units in the Children’s wing are approximately 25 years old and need to be replaced. The electronics that control our entire HVAC system are outdated and need to be replaced. The budget for this project is $100,000.
