Sharing the Good News!

As God works in your life there is a shift that takes place. You move from worldly thinking to Godly thinking. Worldly Christians look to God primarily for personal fulfillment. They want God for their purpose not to be used for his. As this shift takes place you begin to realize that God has placed you where you are for just such a time as this. You begin to recognize that part of your mission and act of service is to tell others about Christ.

Sharing your faith can be scary. It is scary for you and the one you are talking to. But look at it this way-you are just a beggar telling another beggar where to find bread. It is not up to you to win anyone. That is God’s job. You are just called to tell the story.

“Do you not say, ‘Four months more and then the harvest?’ I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.” John 4:35

God has given each of us a sphere of influence that gives us a perfect opportunity to share with people we come into contact with.

We exist to evangelize our community. (Matt. 28:19-20)

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19–20

This is not optional. Every believer is called to make disciples as they go about their daily life. It is not only the fulfillment of the Great Commission. It is also our reward.

Why Our Church Must Never Stop Reaching People!

  • Because God loves all people (2 Peter 3:9)
  • Because God commands us to reach out (Luke 14:23)
  • Because growth is God's will (Col. 2:19)

Unacceptable reasons for not growing:

  • God isn’t interested in numbers
  • Our church wants quality not quantity
  • Large churches are impersonal

We exist to meet the needs of those in our fellowship and community.

“Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.” 1 Corinthians. 12:7

MINISTRY CAN BE DEFINED AS:

Meeting needs with love

“By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." John 13:35
