Born Out of Need
The Lord revealed this need to a group of people at FVBC — the need of Special Needs children and their parents to attend church, worship, fellowship, serve, learn, and be a part of a body of believers. In a few short years time the ministry has grown from two students to three small classes during the 9:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Sunday Morning Sessions. Today FVBC offers the only special needs ministry south of Midway Baptist Church (near Garner).
“Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.” Romans 12:4-5
How Can You Help?
A 1-to-1 ratio is ideal to provide each student proper care and attention. Structure and the consistency of volunteers provide a great environment for learning. With published curriculum, classes are designed to include:
- Puzzles
- Singing
- Crafts
- Bible reading
- Prayer
