Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song. Sing His praises in the assembly of the faithful. Psalm 149:1
Fuquay-Varina has musical opportunities for everyone, no matter what your age. Please contact Mitch Duncan, our Minister Of Music & Worship, with any questions you have or to express interest in serving in this vital ministry area.
"SONshine Singers" Preschool Choir - Psalm 147:1
This choir is a place for preschoolers (3yrs - K) to learn how to praise God thru music. It is a very fun time where the children learn that God loves to hear them sing to Him, play music for Him, and move to music that honors Him. We march, play instruments, and use our voices. We have Bible lessons and learn the meaning of the songs we sing. Join us in Room 203 on Wednesday nights from 6:30 - 7:30 pm during the school year (~August - June).
"Kids R.O.C.K." Children's Choir - Psalm 96:1-2
This choir is for children in 1st through 5th grades. We help the children learn how to use music, both vocal and instrumental, to praise our Lord Jesus Christ while growing in their relationship with God through the messages in the songs. We learn how the truths of God’s Word can and should be shared through music as part of our worship. Join us in Room 207 on Wednesday nights from 6:30 - 7:30 pm during the school year (~August - June).
WEECare Chapel Worship - Proverbs 22:6
All preschool age children (2 yrs old – 4 yrs old) participate in music each Wednesday during WEECare Worship, which meets at 10:30 am in the Chapel. They learn to glorify God by singing His praises during their very own worship and Bible lesson time, just like the youth and adults do in “big church.”
"Elevate" Youth Worship – John 12:32
Each Wednesday evening in the Fellowship Hall, all students (6th – 12th grades) are invited to join us, and a live band in an exciting time of praise and worship with some great Christian worship songs. Some of our students (and a few adults) share their talents, singing and playing instruments, in our Wednesday worship services each week. Please contact us if you are interested in participating.
"Springs Of Joy" Worship Choir - Psalm 87:7
As our primary worship leading choir, Springs Of Joy has both the privilege and responsibility of bringing sacrifices of praise in music each week during our worship service. In addition, this choir brings several musical presentations each year, often at Easter and Christmas, and occasionally for other non-seasonal events. We rehearse every Wednesday night from 7:30 pm – 8:45 pm, in the Choir Room, located in the Music Suite behind the Sanctuary. If you feel called to use your talents for God as part of the choir, please see Mitch Duncan.
"Hearts Of Joy" Senior Choir - Isaiah 65:14a
Our senior choir is a place for serving in ministry through music. They meet for rehearsal each Monday at 10:00 am in the Choir Room, located in the Music Suite behind the Sanctuary. This choir sings and ministers every other month in the Oak Hill Living Center and the Windsor Point Retirement Community, and they also share an anthem of praise on the 3rd Sunday of each month in our morning worship service. See Lynda Prince, our senior choir director, if you are interested in serving in this fun group.
"worship b.a.n.d." (born.again.never.die.) - John 3:14-15
If you play an instrument, there could be a place for you in our worship b.a.n.d. This group leads in worship each Sunday during our 11:00 am service. Rehearsal times may vary, but are currently on Sundays in the Sanctuary. If you are interested in auditioning for our worship b.a.n.d., please see Mitch Duncan.
Instrumentalists who are not part of our worship b.a.n.d. will have other opportunities to share your talents for God’s glory. Please share your interest and abilities with Mitch Duncan.
Multimedia Team - 1 John 1:3
One of the most important support roles in the church is that of the Multimedia Team. This team is made up of folks with skills in technical areas such as operating audio for our worship services and other events, operating video projection software during worship gatherings, operating video cameras, and various other duties related to technology. Please contact Mitch Duncan if you are interested in serving on this team.
